Spielberg Defends His Latest Movie

Steven Spielberg’s Munich is all about the tragic events that took place during the 1972 Olympics Games.

The director chose to forget all about the "oh the poor victims" type of story and, instead, has included the points of view for each side involved in the conflict (the Israeli and the Palestinians).

It goes something like this: was the killing at the Olympics a barbaric thing to do? Most definitely. Was the Israel response (hunt down and kill the 11 men accused of masterminding the murders) the thing to do or just another butchery? Everyone is entitled to have his own opinion.

As you might expect, fundamentalist Jews attacked the Oscar-nominated film for allowing the Palestinian side of the story to be portrayed. I wonder, will they accuse Spielberg to be an anti-Semite? This would be rich. Well, until then, here’s a most interesting dialogue:

Munich never once attacks Israel, and barely criticizes Israel's policy of counter-violence against violence.(Steven Spielberg) Spielberg is no friend of Israel. Spielberg is no friend of truth.
